Our Process

We have a 5 1/2 stage process that we use when designing or redesigning a site.

Stage 1: Understand Your Needs

Before we begin working on your website we want to make sure that we understand your needs. Do you want more business, traffic to your site, or attention to your product? Do you want your website to accurately portray the quality of your business or mission of your organization?
call us and we walk though a comprehensive needs analysis with you. This helps prioritize your goals and outline the design, programing, and marketing requirements for your website.

Stage 2: Gather, Organize, and Optimize Your Content

There is a saying in the web design profession: “Content is king.” Strong and well written content defines your site, keeps visitors coming back, and plays a key role in how search engines rank your website.

As we go over the copy for your site, we research the key words that will help people find you online. We also optimize your images and other media so that it will download and display as fast as possible for your visitors.

Stage 3: Design Your Website

We design your site based on knowing your audience, your goals, the mood you would like the site to convey, and the hierarchy of your content, among other factors.

The design process consists of a cycle of us presenting you with a design, you giving feedback, and us returning with a modified design for additional feedback.

Depending on the plan we decide works best for you, this process could involve several designs and multiple revision cycles, or one simple design and a rush revision process to meet an important deadline.

Stage 4: Develop Your Website

At this point we transform your design and content into a working website. Based on your needs, we will help you choose the best content management system to allow for you to update and maintain the content on your website.

Before the final launch we will train you on how to take ownership of your new site.

Finally, we prepare a system to track the success of the new site.

Stage 5: Launch and Monitor Your Site

We all love launch day for a new site!

As customers visitor your new site, we collect and analyze data about the pages they visit the most, the search terms they use to find your site, and other behaviors.

With this information we determine our success in meeting our initial goals and set new goals for the site’s future.

Stage 5 1/2: Grow

If you launch a site and then forget about it, your visitors will do the same.

We encourage you to continually update your content and improve parts of your site based on visitor statistics, feedback, and the growing goals of your company or organization.

This will keep your site fresh, and visitors coming back.
